Highview Christian Academy is centrally located in Charleston, Maine with Maine’s 3rd largest city, Bangor, just 25 miles away. The University of Maine Systems and Husson University - a private university - are also close-by. Shopping malls, theaters, the Center for the Arts and multiple activities varying from bowling to canoe races serve as entertainment for surrounding communities. A summer Folk Festival has become prevalent to the area with its multi-culture presentations drawing thousands together. Seasonal changes mark another great enjoyment of Highview’s location. We enjoy all four very distinct seasons in Maine. The fall foliage is breath taking as the trees change from Maine’s green to brilliant colors of orange, red, yellow and brown. Whether relaxing during summer beach time, skiing the slopes in the winter, or touring the vast acreage of beauty in the fall, visitors are never disappointed.
