Upon completion of the process and approval from INS, our school has been privileged and honored to bring students from Sweden, France, Germany, Brazil, Russia, and the Ukraine. Some of those students came under the International Program directly to HCA; others came through an International Exchange Program.
When a student arrives as an exchange student, they have come through a program their parents selected, such as the ASSE, ISE, etc. and are limited to a one year program at the high school level; all finances are paid to that program and not to HCA. However, when a student comes as an international student, they come under the issuance of an I-20 from Highview Christian Academy. The I-20 is then taken to the embassy of the applying student's country and a Visa is issued. All monies for tuition, boarding, etc. are paid directly to HCA and these students are international tutuion paying students. Students coming through the International Program are not limited to a one year stay, but may attend as long as desired. They are not restricted to high school attendance only and may attend as elementary students also.
If you are an international student or parent seeking a quality education abroad and desire a small, private setting, Highview Christian Academy may be the school for you and your family. We recommend that you apply directly as an international student, which would allow you the choice of your length of stay and would also allow for the finances you spend in studying abroad to directly benefit the institution you choose to attend.
Please browse through our website and become familiar with who we are and what we are all about. As you observe the activities, friendships, and excitement experienced in attending Highview Christian Academy, you will see that we are "A School on the Move" and "A Light in the Darkness."
For more information about HCA International Programs, please contact Mrs. Philbrick, DSO, at 207.285.7978, or by email at mjphilbrick8@aol.com. She will be happy to greet you and answer any questions you may have. We look forward to meeting and serving you and your family.

The doors opened for Highview Christian Academy to expand internationally in the second year of our existence. In response to a request from a student in Sweden to attend HCA, our school worked to acquire an F-1 status with the United States Immigrations and Naturalization Services (INS). Obtaining F-1 status would allow us to bring students from all over the world to HCA for the purpose of attaining an education, whether it be for one year or their education in its entirety.
